Schüco AOC 50 SG TI add-on construction - filigree all-glass façade on timber substructure with maximum thermal insulation

Schüco AOC 50 SG TI add-on construction enables large-dimensioned all-glass façades on timber substructures.

With the profiles only visible from the room side, vertical façades can be realised in a flush all-glass look with filigree joints.

The system also enables the design of façades in semi-structural glazing optics.

What contracts are there for the supply of SG profiles for SG gluing? ONLY FOR AKS-INTERNAL INFORMATION

For legal reasons, AluKönigStahl may only supply SG profiles (Structrual Glazing) to companies if a valid SG contract exists.

There are four possible variants
A) An MB processor wants to glue; then there must be a valid contract with the customer.
A1) If AKS is without a contract to date and if the processor is ready to sign a contract, AKS sends the long form of the Schüco / AKS SG contract via VKA staff.
A2) If AKS is without a contract to date and if the processor refuses to sign the contract, at least the minimum version of the AKS SG contract must be signed.

B) Instead of the processor, a gluing operation does the gluing at the option of the MB customer; Again, a valid contract is required.
B1) If AKS is without a contract to date and if the gluing operation is ready to sign a contract, PM International sends the long form of the Schüco / AKS SG contract.
B2) If AKS is without a contract to date and if the gluing operation refuses to sign the contract, at least the minimum version of the AKS SG contract must be signed.

All contracts (raw versions and signed versions) can be viewed and downloaded by AKS employees on the AKS Sharepoint.

Why do you need special anodising quality (SG Eloxal) at SG?

1) Delivery status
Schüco profiles for the SG version are delivered with a special anodised surface.
The special anodising provides a specially compacted surface on which adhesives hold particularly well.
Only a few companies in Europe are certified to carry out this anodising surface.

2) "Expiration date" of the surface
For SG profiles, it is important to note that the anodised surfaces have an expiration date.
Use after expiration is only possible after consultation with Schüco or AluKönigStahl.

3) Exceptions
If inadvertently raw goods are delivered, further measures are only permitted in coordination with Schüco or AluKönigStahl.
Projects without special anodising are possible if positive tests have been carried out in advance with the adhesive manufacturer.

4) Contract
Prior to delivery of SG materials, an SG contract must be concluded between the company being supplied by AluKönigStahl and AluKönigStahl. The supplied operation may be a metalworking or a glazing operation.
The contract regulates the liability issue. Liability for damage caused by faulty SG bonding is generally the responsibility of the bonding operation. This must be tested and certified (Conformity procedure 1, ETAG 002 Regulation).
