The Austrian Steel Construction Association (ÖSTV) was founded in 1954 and has today 72 members from the fields of steel construction, steel trade,
steel production, supply industry, corrosion protection, authorities,
test institutes, technical offices and civil engineers. We are an
association of the "Austrian Vereinsgesetz" - and open to all interested
parties.
The tasks of the Austrian steel construction association includes:
We want to be the first contact in all areas of steel, bridges and steel building construction.
We offer to all interested in the structural steel, two recognized experts for assistance in all aspects: from the tender of a project up to the fire protection concept.
We are partners of the relevant universities and HTL's
We are an active member of the European association for Constructional Steelwork
We offer information for builders, authorities, engineers, architects and educational institutions
We guide HTL's and FH's in the range of dissertations in steel construction
We are the publisher of steelwork relevant guidelines and brochures
In a technical- and marketing committee we deal with specific issues and problems of the constructional steelwork. We are opinion leaders for legal norms (laws and regulations) in review process and not at least we encourage the exchange of experience and the dissemination of
information, for example in the fields of manufacturing, installation, fire protection, welding, testing, corrosion protection etc.
