SchücoFlam® C is a fire-protecting glass made of two or more ESG-panes. Due to the ESG construction it is particularly robust for transport, handling and installation, and can be combined in numerous variations with other glasses in multifunctional ways.
The gap between panes is filled with a transparent interlayer. If the interlayer is exposed to fire, it becomes opaque, foams and creates an insulating heatshield. The number of ESG-panes and interlayers is determined by the required fire resistance time. This allows SchücoFlam® C to reliably fulfil the highest fire protection requirements.
The transmission and penetration of radiant energy is almost completely prevented for a defined period. Depending on construction, SchücoFlam® C can resist fire up to 120 minutes. The opaque insulating interlayer prevents a view of the fire, preventing panic and shows the emergency services where the fire is.
SchücoFlam® C can be used internally as well as externally. It is mounted in steel and aluminium profiles and can be used in fire protection windows, doors, separating walls, and facades as well as slanting and horizontal glass.
