Thanks to the deformation under normalized conditions, hot rolled steel hollow sections show a uniform grain structure and hardness across the entire profile cross-section. This also guarantees stable mechanical properties. Hot finished structural hollow sections do not show any hardenings at the edge (cause for possible cracks), and as a result they can be welded and galvanized without any problems. They also show excellent performance under dynamic stress and at lower temperatures.
Extremely small edge radius results in a larger cross section of material. This means improved static values, more security (especially at the edges) and easy, trouble-free welded joints.
The areas of application of hot rolled steel hollow sections are varying: In mechanical engineering, vehicle, lift / cable car construction, plant engineering and agricultural engineering, i.e. everywhere, where dynamic stress is expected, hot finished steel hollow sections convince with their values and their resilience.
